Creating a body of law and tradition for peace operations

The intent is to begin the creation of  a body of law and tradition for “waging peace” as an alternative to “waging war’ in dealing with conflict.  This section will propose a new ethic for peace operations and the discussion of interpretations and applications of such an ethic. Given that law is the codification of such ethics and values in those areas  that are of significant impact to society, we propose to begin with the discussion of an ethic for waging peace operations.
